South Brent Parish Council  have owned Palstone Park Recreation Ground (fondly known as the ‘Rec’) since 1985, when South Brent Recreation Association run by volunteers was formed to manage and maintain the facilities for the local community to enjoy and use for sporting and recreational pursuits.

Web Link South Brent Village Hall
South Brent Village Hall is widely used by many local community groups for regular events the details of which can be accessed through the village hall web site.

The hall is also available for hire and can cater for a wide variety of functions and has a fully equipped stage, cinema and surround sound system.

The Centre has developed over the last 15 years to respond to the needs of the South Brent Community. When the doors first opened the focus was largely on adult education and support. This is still a core part of the work but the capacity of the centre has expanded over the years to serve a broad range of ages, groups and abilities.

A befriending service based at South Brent Old School Community Centre

Help for people in South Brent and neighbouring parishes, offered by volunteers living in the same area
People can contact us themselves for support or be referred through families, friends, neighbours or through Health & Social Care agencies.
We will only support when people wish us to help. You do not have to be a member to use the service.

South Brent Feoffees (stpetrocsandstmarys.org.uk)

Grants from South Brent Feoffees are available to support post 18 education for all young residents of South Brent parish.
Grants are not income related but reflect whether the student is studying away from home or living locally and in what year of study the application is made.
